ChatGPT’s mobile users are 85% male, report says

According to a recent analysis, the user base of ChatGPT is predominantly male, with men accounting for 85% of the audience. This statistic highlights a significant gender disparity in the utilization of this AI tool.

In addition to gender demographics, more than half of ChatGPT users are under the age of 25. This indicates that younger individuals are more inclined to engage with AI technologies like ChatGPT, suggesting a trend towards increased adoption among younger generations.

Women more sceptical to AI and Tech

A survey conducted by Morning Consult in October 2023 revealed that women are generally more skeptical about AI. While 31% of men indicated they would let their kids use AI chatbots for any purpose, only 4% of women expressed the same willingness. Furthermore, 53% of women stated they would ban their children from using AI altogether, compared to just 26% of men.

A report from Deloitte also found that women express lower levels of trust in tech companies compared to men when it comes to data privacy and security. This lack of trust can lead to hesitancy in adopting new technologies or engaging with them fully

The findings reveal that ChatGPT’s audience is largely male and youthful, which may influence how the technology is developed and marketed in the future.
